We own a charming bungalow in Altadena that was in desperate need of repair. Like most homeowners, we did our research and interviewed many local contractors. We’re still amused by some of the “colorful characters” we met, and actually considered for the job.After many frustrating months, we were referred to Sal Lampasona of LDI Construction by some neighbors who had recently completed a project with him. From the beginning, Sal was very enthusiastic about working with us. He was persistent about courting us as clients, and even offered us design advice before we hired him.We also had a limited budget, and a lot on our wish list, but Sal helped make it happen. He helped us maximize our resources as much as possible to accomplish our goals. We always felt confident that things would be done to our satisfaction. Sal made sure of that because he’s a man of his word. He also takes pride in his work.The dust settled on our project over a year ago and we love the results. In the end, we came away with a beautiful Craftsman-inspired kitchen, updated master bath, new half- bath and a laundry room. Our friends and family still can’t believe how these spaces have been artfully transformed.
